Position Description: In close collaboration with the Country Director, Fuel-Efficient Stove (FES) Program Manager (PM) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) PM, the Finance/Logistics Manager is responsible for managing ILF Uganda's finances, coordinating logistics and procurement, and providing operational support to ILF Uganda's Country Director.

Key Responsibilities: - Finance
o Administer and monitor the financial and accounting system in order to ensure that the ILF finances and assets are maintained in an accurate and timely manner and comply with the ILF policies and procedures o Ensure conformity with ILF reporting requirements and compliance standards established by each donor in managing grant projects o Assist with the preparation of the program budget, establish and maintain cash controls, monitor the purchase order system, reconcile accounts payable and receivable, establish and maintain supplier accounts, prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and general ledger and assist with audits o Liaise with FES PM and WASH PM with regard to grant/budgetary issues and monthly financial reports. o Monitor actual grant expenditures against approved donor line items on a monthly basis; advise program staff of any irregularities and make recommendations for future action o Maintain relations with the bank and service providers as well as important contacts of the organization o Expedite field based payments, summarize expenses, classify and code as per ILF and donor requirements and compile for program-wide financial report consolidation o Timely settle staff / business advances and ensure that all are current and cleared o Review internal control systems and how they have been implemented and recommend strengthening wherever necessary. - Logistics o Responsible for the procurement of needed supplies, including construction/production materials, office supplies, and materials to support programs o Design, implement and maintain an effective and well-documented system of procurement, transportation, and storage of materials and supplies o Manage and maintain the vehicle fleet, ensuring that all the vehicles are properly maintained and used within ILF policy o Manage and maintain all machinery and equipment, implementing a system for monitoring usage and tracking location o Ensure that systems are in place to track maintenance schedules, fuel usage and vehicle scheduling. o Support timely and accurate processing and documentation of procurements, and ensure accurate paperwork and a supply chain. o Maintain service and vendor contracts and seek out new contracts as program needs require
- Administration o Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with ILFs policies and procedures, all statutory regulations, and tax requirements. o Support ILF Uganda's Country Coordinator in the negotiation of contracts, MOUs, FLAs, grants, cooperative agreements and their modifications or extensions. o Ensure the respect of the staff rules, regulations and internal policies

Qualifications
- University or higher degree in relevant discipline - At least 3 years management experience with international humanitarian organizations in finance and logistics. - Budget management experience in programs with multiple donors - Comprehension of basic principles of accounting - Familiarity with QuickBooks - Broad experience in all dimensions of operations (admin, logs, finance, HR) - Experience in procurement compliance - Excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English - Possess strong analytical and conceptual skills - High sense of responsibility and excellent organizational, planning and time management skills - Energetic, flexible and willing to work irregular hours - Good command of computer programs and applications with significant capabilities in computerized database and spreadsheet construction, and their practical application.

Job Title: Service Centre Team leader


Service Centre Team leader- Western  and Northern Region

Duties and Responsibilities:

    To build, manage, train and develop a team of field sales agents (BWs) who are responsible for increasing SIM activations and M-Sente registrations in the assigned territory
    To meet assigned quotas and assign, manage and evaluate the work of direct reports.
    To deploy and maintain effective programs for direct business capture that are cost justified
    To use professional business judgment and be prepared to define plans, justify actions, and identify options as appropriate to the Regional Business Manager
    To provide detail reporting to the Regional Business Manager on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, half yearly and yearly direct sim sales, activations, promo phone sales and M-Sente registrations
    To forecast both personal targets and Sales team performance
    To deliver a written territorial plan and budget as requested, including a request for any support/resources required to achieve quotas assigned, and following approvals, implement business plan
    To work with the trade Development Manager (TDM) and Trade Development Executive (TDE) in a coordinated plan to improve results through bringing in new business
    To develop and deploy plans to increase territorial direct sales group performance in coordination with the trade development manager
    To monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
    To identify opportunities to generate increased sales and profitability within the territory using analysis and market data
    To ensure that the direct sales team is well branded
    To keep a breeze of marketing initiatives and ensure all territorial plans/activities are in line with the overall brand objectives
    To ensure timely submission of direct sales teams monthly sales, follow up on payments and resolve any queries
    To conduct Morning Briefs/Meetings so as to review the previous days’ operations and determine pending issues to be resolved
    To ensure a good ambience and tidiness of the service centers to reflect the corporate image
    To ensure all products have price tags and are properly displayed at the service center
    To supervise the Front Office Advisors to ensure they are available at all times
    To drive sales in order to ensure revenue/ collection targets are met
    To ensure prompt resolution of all escalated cases in the Center and provide feedback to the customers
    To provide information about customer complaints, needs, suggestions, inquiries to relevant departments to facilitate proper planning and action.

    Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
    Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
    Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize trends and opportunities and plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities
    Ability to present compelling business cases for major investment
    Experience working with and managing relationships with external agencies and 3rd party agencies
    Personal commitment to meet or exceed set targets
    Ability to understand the needs of employees and to apply best practice people management techniques to ensure a motivated and productive workforce.

Applicants must have

    A Bachelors degree in a relevant field
    Previous experience in service environment is an added advantage
    Must be computer literate with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, TABS, HEAT
    Excellent customer service orientation with a proven record of meeting and exceeding set standards.
    Knowledge of Basic book keeping
    Knowledge of Basic Stock Inventory Management
    Retail Chain Management
