Job Title: Sales and Distribution Manager
Duty Station: Product Facility, UHMG Ware House
Reports to: Director Product Facility
supervises: Sales and Distribution Officers

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to market products under the DFID-funded project, and ensure smooth distribution to the districts, while ensuring achievement of sales distribution and collection targets of the product Facility.

This position requires a highly skilled person who has capacity in sales and distribution f health-care products. The person should be result oriented, and have strong conceptual and analytical skills. The position requires a flexible and resilient person, willing to work for extended hours.

Essential Job Functions:
The Sales and Distribution Manager will be specially responsible for the following tasks:-
  • Supervise and coordinate the sales and marketing team and ensure the achievement of monthly of monthly value sales and collection and monthly product wise volume.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reviews of each sales team member against planned targets and provide performance feedback and revised implementation plans to the PF Director.
  • Analyze weekly market data/ reports obtained from sales team, and provide weekly feed back and revised implementation plans to the PF director
  • Prepare and submit monthly report to PF Director as per the report format provided.
  • Develop and implement a monthly field visits plan to work with sales and distribution Officers.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in Marketing & Business Administration.
  • Experience in selling pharmaceutical products and other allied health care products is a must.
  • Additional qualification in any of the health sciences will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of basic programs.
  • 1-5 years experience managing sales and distribution of health care products in a medium sized organization.
  • Robust understanding of pharmaceutical products and other allied health care products.
  • Possess excellent communication, advocacy, negotiation, interpersonal analytical and result oriented skills

Job Title: Logistics & Procurement Manager
Reports to: Director Product Facility

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the procurement function of DFID-funded project, and serves as the technical procurement person for all UHMG PF product and stocks procurement

Essential Job Functions:
The Logistics and Procurement Manager will be specially responsible for the following tasks.
  • Prepare all documentation including PFI, LPOs, and contracts with supplier of FP products
  • Place orders based on the product facility requirement with the suppliers including products, equipment, sundries and stationary
  • Source products efficiently both local and internationally by finding the market selling prices so that optimal profits are realized for the organization
  • Ensure that customer requirements ( if not in stock) are procured on time for onward delivery to beneficiaries.
  • Follow up with suppliers on all shipments locally and internationally to ensure timely delivery procurement and delivery of required products.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in studies relevant to Procurement or Finance.
  • Post graduate qualification in a related field,and professional qualification in CIPS, or CPA will be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with hands on experience in logistics and procurement management as well as in soft ware packages is a must.
  • At least 4 years work experience in Logistics and Procurement Management, in a private sector or development organization.
  • Robust understanding of logistics and procurement management.
  • Must have good customer development and negotiation skills.

Quantity Surveyor Job in Uganda at National Housing and Constuction Company Ltd

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Reports to: Project Development Manager

Department: Operations

Job Purpose: To provide data and information for the formulation of proposals for new projects and give support in monitoring the activities at sites in order to ensure agreed costs are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares bills of quantities as part of input for tenders
  • Ensures value for money in the execution of construction projects
  • Responsible for cost control planning and for actual cost controls during building implementation
  • Regularly visits building sites in order to monitor the activities of the sub contractors and suppliers with a view to avoiding any cost escalation

To lead the Company in the execution of building and civil engineering projects undertaken by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads construction Unit in preparing programs, delivery schedules and reviews budgets for all building and civil engineering projects.
  • Directs and Controls the activities of the construction unit to ensure that every project adheres to stipulated parameters and that planned profit margins are met
  • Lead in the development of production related strategic business units, prepare business cases, contribute to feasibility studies and guide in set up .
  • Responds to architect's and clients queries on projects being undertaken
  • Reviews certificates prepared for payments to sub contractors.
Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in business studies.
